cancellation policy

When appointments are booked, the psychologist reserves the whole hour especially for you. We understand that life happens, however we do ask for as much notice as possible when cancelling your appointment. We require 48 hours notice to reschedule or cancel a session without incurring any additional fees. This policy is in place to allow us to offer the allocated time to another client who may be on a cancellation or waiting list for an appointment.

Should you cancel your appointment with less than 48 hours notice, a fixed $70.00 fee will be incurred and required to be paid in your next appointment. Where there is no notice/non-attendance or you cancel your appointment within an hour of the booking time, this will incur the full session fee payable prior to your next session.

This charge will not be claimable through Medicare. We wait 15-minutes for you to arrive at your appointment, if you have failed to arrive then the according fee will be applied.

We understand that sometimes you may be unable to keep an appointment because of sudden illness or an unexpected personal emergency. If this happens to you, again, please contact us as soon as possible to discuss your situation.

The current Australian Psychological Society (APS) recommended fee is $300.00 for 60 minutes (valid till June 30, 2024). There is no need for a referral to meet a psychologist, however full payment is required at the completion of services. You may be eligible for private health insurance rebates. Medicare rebates are available for psychology patients referred by your GP with a valid Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP).
